Corrections are fully AI. The model checks script, accents, grammar and word choice against a native-level standard, then gives you the minimal fix that keeps your voice. Accuracy depends on the language: for widely spoken, high-resource languages — Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Chinese and the like — it's very strong. It has seen far less training data for lower-resource languages, so it's least reliable for Thai, Bengali, Persian and Hebrew — and most experimental of all for the constructed languages (Klingon, High Valyrian and Sindarin), where even the vocabulary is limited. For those it's worth double-checking the occasional correction.

A little goes a long way. Bring a handful of words and a rough idea of how sentences fit together, and dojo takes it from there — guided prompts, translation from English, or free-writing whatever you can manage. Your tutor meets you at your level, corrects what you actually produce, and builds every lesson around the mistakes you keep making.

What dojo isn't is a from-zero curriculum. We won't march you through a syllabus, so pair us with flashcards for vocabulary and a grammar reference for the scaffolding — that combination is where dojo does its best work. Ask your character about any rule and they'll explain it on the spot; just don't expect a whole language to fit inside a chat window.

A blank chatbot makes you do all the work — set it up, paste your text, decide what to ask, and start from zero every session. dojo is the whole loop, already built: instant scored corrections in your tutor's voice, every mistake remembered and distilled into a focused lesson plan, then turned into Practice drills that hit your weak spots — with streaks and stats that pull you back. You just write.

Yes — your data is safe with us. Everything you write travels over an encrypted connection and sits behind strict access controls.

We only ever process your writing as much as we genuinely need to. To give you feedback, it has to reach the AI that grades it (Google's Gemini); to show your progress, we keep your sessions and corrections in your account — and that's really all. Running dojo means paying for the AI behind every correction, and that price keeps shifting. A monthly plan lets us keep dojo sustainable without locking in a number that may not hold.

dojo is also still in rapid development — features come and go as we keep building. That's why there's no lifetime option, much as we'd love to offer one: we can't promise a one-time price against a cost that keeps moving and a product that's still taking shape.
